Glen was born and grew up in Miller Place, Long Island. He followed his dream and and fought for our country in the Afghani and Iraq wars. He served as an FMF Corpsman with the United States Marines for 6 years. He now suffers from PTSD as do many of his fellow brothers who served alongside him. PTSD is a debilitating illness and the symptoms range from flashbacks, nightmares, anger and depression. Even though there is no cure for PTSD, there are programs available to help our Veterans handle the difficult symptoms and move toward living a peaceful life.
Glen found help through the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation and bonded with a young Fox Red Labrador named Indy that has been trained as a service dog. Bonding with Indy, short for Independence helped Glen cope with life outside of the military and become more emotionally settled. Glen’s hope is to help bring Indy home and support the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation. Don’t miss this fundraiser to support our Veterans and come out on Novemeber 14th!
