Bring on the Fringe! Celebrating the Creative Arts in Long Island

With stars like Billy Joel, Maria Carey, Eddie Murphy having been born here, I’d venture to say that the water in Long Island does more than make amazing bagels! The New York region is known as home to some of the most talented artists in the world, and over the next 6 months, Long Islanders will have the chance to see some of that amazing talent first-hand at the Long Island Fringe Festival.

Steve Zaluski and his Sphere of Hope rolled through the 2009 celebration.

The Fringe Festival is a celebration of creative arts- cutting edge dance, music, theater, performance poetry and visual artistry. This year’s “Hidden Fringe” will be sweeping through towns from Sea Cliff to Hauppauge and Port Jefferson to Massapequa. Evoking the spirit of the original Edinburgh International Theatre Festival, different genre of arts performances are scheduled and the journey is designed to highlight Long Island and all it has to offer.

This is the 4th year of the only fringe on Long Island, the best cutting edge, avant-garde entertainment happening.

Madcap Dance, pure joy at The First Long Island Fringe Festival.

Tickets are $50.00 for the entire season or $10.00 for individual evening performances, by contacting the Long Island Fringe Festival – fringe@debbydoll.com. You can also see the event schedule & purchase tickets on Eventbrite here
