The deep freeze hit Nassau County last week and the Presidents Day holiday week weather forecast looks like we are expecting more frigid cold days and nights. Temperatures in the coming days are expected to range in the high teens and drop as low as 11 degrees. On Sunday late afternoon and into Monday morning wind gusts of 30 – 35 mph will be chilling Nassau County residents. There is still tons of snow on the ground and with the temperatures dropping so low, it’s very likely that the ice and snow will be sticking around for awhile.
We still have another long month of wintertime, so dress in your warmest clothing and wear gloves and a hat when you are out. If you don’t need to go out, stay in, there’s always plenty to do inside!
