The Festival by the Sea is a wonderful beach party. The sand sculpting contests are a big hit with both the participants and the spectators. Bring the whole family to the beach to munch on some of Nassau County’s best ribs and seafood during the rib or clam eating contests throughout the day. The Festival by the Sea will be held at Lido Beach Town Park on Saturday, September 26th and 27th. The festival starts at 11:00am and ends at 6:30pm. Enjoy live music by That 70’s Band. There will be crafts, family and children’s shows, bounce castles for the kids and tennis demonstrations. Martin Viette Nurseries Fall Festival begins September 26th and runs through October 25th. Located in East Norwich, one of the most scenic areas of Long Island. Martin Viette Nurseries knows how to throw a fall festival.
The huge pumpkin patch is stocked with hundreds of pumpkins to choose from and kids enjoy painting pumpkins all day from 11:00am until 4:00pm. There’s a pet and feed animal farm and fun farm cutouts, so be sure to bring your camera. The fall market is fun for families, and you can pick up fresh apple cider, pies, delicious candy apples and baked goods. There’s also orchard fresh apples, Indian corn, silk flowers, fall decorating items and door wreaths.
